2026: I Can See Clearly Now
For the first two years of Studio 52's existence, each artist had done one piece of art every week for the whole year. The following years, we didn't have that rule to follow and found we were missing the incentive it had given us to paint constistently.
For 2026, we returned to our roots and these were the parameters:
1. Each artist to do one piece of art each week from March 1 - November 22.
2. Art to be tiny, only 2.5 x 3.5 inches.
3. Medium to be watercolour paper.
4. To maybe have a Tiny Art show in November.
For over 12 years, I have suffered with increasing double vision. In 2024 it reached the point of being severe enough that prescription lenses couldn't correct it. For two years, I saw specialists and waited for an opening and in March 2026, I finally had strabismus surgery. To say it's been a life changer is a big understatement!
I named my project I Can See Clearly Now because for the first time since I can't remember when, it's the truth. I still have astigmatism and nearsightedness, but I only see one of everything now! My project this year is a joy - no longer do I have to have my nose practically touching the paper in order to paint!
My little pieces of art will be added here no later than November 2026!
